Good Care Begins Here

Individual & Couples Psychotherapy
welcome

Welcome

Welcome and thank you for visiting my page.

Your landing here tells me that you are looking for some support and are ready to make some changes. I know reaching out can be difficult so I commend you for taking that step today. Whether you are considering psychotherapy for the first time, a therapy veteran looking for a new therapist, or anywhere in between, it would be my honor and privilege to support you on this journey of growth and healing. Feel free to browse through my site for more information on helping you take this next step.

I would like to acknowledge that Take Good Care Therapy operates on stolen lands of the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinaabe, and the Wendat, and is the treaty territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. I support indigenous sovereignty and Land Back. I commit to anti-oppressive practice and acknowledge my role as a settler on this land.

Hello my name is Celia and thanks for landing on my page :)

I am a first generation settler born in Hong Kong and grew up in colonial Canada. Growing up I always felt like I was straddling both cultures, not quite one or the other. As I pursued this work, I found that these themes of feeling stuck and lost in the liminal space of finding where we belong coming up over and over again no matter where I travelled or which communities I worked with. From an attachment perspective, it makes a lot of sense because love and belonging is one of our most important needs. As such, I firmly believe that healing happens relationally with others. We were never meant to do it all on our own. I hope that you will allow me to be part of your circle of care as you embark on this journey of healing.

I am a lifelong learner and unlearner around liberation and anti-oppressive practices, participating in advocacy work where I am able. As a visual artist and musician, I love bringing in creative elements to our sessions whenever appropriate (and with your permission). I work well with fellow creatives, folks in helping professions, LGBTQAI+ and racialized communities.

Please note that my practice is conducted entirely online at this time. I offer a free 30 min consultation call to all potential clients.
